Do you know what global warming is? Global warming means that the world is getting hotter over time. This happens due to something called the greenhouse effect. Imagine that the earth is like a big greenhouse, and the atmosphere (the air) around us is like the glass of the greenhouse. Most of the time, the glass allows just the right amount of heat from the sun so our world can live comfortably. But now it’s too much heat! It’s because of some gases like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, and many other gases; there are also other reasons that create these gases; they don’t just form by themselves. What causes these gases are fossil fuels, which are made for energy, transportation, agriculture, and other activities due to us. Some other factors that contribute to global warming are air pollution; when we use cars, drive airplanes, or use any such transport vehicles, they release gases that cause pollution, which harms our health and the earth. But that isn’t the only type of pollution; pollution can also be caused by the production of plastic and the decomposition of plastics. For example, when we receive packages, many of them are packed in plastic, and when we throw them away, we usually discard them, and there’s no such thing as making an object disappear ; they go into landfills, which are increasing every day and can also damage the environment. There are three other pollution’s that affect global warming; one is called water pollution. This occurs when factories improperly dispose of unnecessary plastics, which is trash, or when they release harmful chemicals, creating oil spills. Another type of pollution is industrial and waste pollution. Industrial pollution occurs when factories release harmful substances into the air, land, and water. Waste pollution occurs when garbage, chemicals, electronic devices, or other items contribute to climate changes and damage our ecosystem. Recycling also affects global warming because, when we recycle, materials can usually be reused and made into something else, but after a certain number of times, they can’t be. Recycling also requires energy, and this energy often comes from burning fossil fuels. Now there is much more to global warming; this is just a glimpse. To help prevent global warming and keep our planet healthy for future generations, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by using less fossil fuel, supporting renewable energy, and reducing waste through recycling and reusing. Additionally, planting trees, conserving water, and changing our diets to include more plant-based foods also make a positive impact, and we should not litter. you can watch this video below to understand more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4H1N_yXBiA
