Animals are an important part of the environment. Every animal, big or small, helps nature in some way. When animals live in balance, the environment stays healthy.

One important role of animals is keeping balance in nature. Some animals eat plants, while others eat animals. This creates a food chain. Food chains stop any one group from growing too large and harming the environment.

Animals also help plants grow. Bees, birds, and butterflies carry pollen from one flower to another. This process is called pollination. Without it, many plants would not be able to grow or produce food. Some animals also spread seeds to new places, helping forests and plants grow naturally.

Many animals help keep the soil healthy. Earthworms, insects, and small animals move through the soil. This allows air and water to enter the ground and helps plants grow better.

Animals also help by controlling pests. Birds, frogs, and insects eat harmful bugs. This protects plants and crops and reduces the need for harmful chemicals.

Animals living in water are also very important. Fish and other sea animals help keep rivers, lakes, and oceans clean and balanced. Coral reef animals support marine life and protect underwater ecosystems.

Sadly, many animals are in danger because of pollution, deforestation, and climate change. When animals disappear, the environment becomes weak. Protecting animals helps protect the Earth.

Animals and the environment depend on each other. By caring for animals and their habitats, we help keep the planet healthy for future generations.
